 Hello everyone. I finished the jelly sticks quilt top done with Blue Escape Coastal fabrics.  Now I just need to get it and the Home on the Range quilt top quilted in time for the holidays.  Hello.  I almost forgot about this again today. Quilt Top Completed I have the Home on the  Range quilt top completed and the backing ready.  I haven't cut the binding fabric yet.  I always wait until the quilt is quilted and trimmed to make the binding. Quilt Top, Backing, & Binding Since today is Moda's sew a jelly roll day, I've been working on the second quilt I plan to gift this Christmas.  Everything is cut and I'm in the process of stitching the blocks together.  The pattern I chose to use is Corey Yoder's Jelly Sticks.  So far, I'm pleased with the way it's working out.  I'll have some photos for next week's post. After our stretch of nice weather we're now having a few days of rain.  It's been coming down steadily all day here, so it's a great day to stay in and work on my quilting projects.  I had intended to write this post yesterday, but life got in the way.  Again. Bargello Quilt #1 As you can see above, the first bargello quilt is completed.  I decided on the medium brown for the binding as I thought the darker espresso shade was too dark.  I also made good progress on the quilt I'm making as a Christmas gift for my sister-in-law, Pam.  Most of the blocks are sewn together.  Then I'll just have to arrange them, sew the blocks into a quilt top, then decide on a border or no border and get it quilted. Home on the Range Quilt Progress Next Saturday is Moda's project jelly roll day.  The quilt I'd like to make for the sister-in-law, Laurelle, is from a jelly roll, so I'm planning on getting that started for jelly roll day.  She also lives on the cape and alot of her home is beach and ocean themed, so I'm using Riley Blake's Blue Escape Coastal for it.   Work in Progress Hello everyone. As you can see in the photo, I've actually had some time to work on some sewing projects this week.  The photo is of the blocks for a quilt I purchased fabric for a few years ago for my sister-in-law Pam.  She loves animals, and is a champion barrell rider on Cape Cod, which is why (as you may see in the photo) that the fabrics are western themed.  I hope to have the quilt top together in a week or so, then it will need to be quilted.  After this is done, it's on to other projects I'm hoping to finish in time for Christmas gifting. I've decided on the binding for the quilt I finished quilting.  Although it's not quilted as I had planned (I did a crosshatch as I didn't have time for the fancier quilting I had planned) at least it's one more item off the list. Binding Choices Decision Made I'm hoping to have it bound be the end of the week.  Then I'll be moving on to the next Christmas gift and maybe quilting another ...
