  Hello everyone. I have added more fabric to my stash.  I purchased Blue Escape Coastal as I'm getting into summer (even though it's raining down buckest here today).  My projects are a bit behind as I've been spending time taking care of my husband the past couple of weeks.  He's been a bit out of sorts and needed some time and care so that had to come first. I've also decided not to put the emphasis on getting my finished quilt tops quilted.  As I plan on purchasing a new longarm system, very likely this month, they can wait until I have that up and running and I'll complete them on the new machine.  I'm in the process of clearing out some furniture to make room for it at the moment.  Once I've had time to become familiar with the machine and its software, I'll also be able to quilt for other quilters.  Doing this on my domestic machine is time consuming and, therefore, expensive. Hello everyone. It's raining here today.  I haven't finished quilting the first of the two bargello quilts, but I did finish piecing the blocks together for one of my side projects as you can see here. There hasn't been time for me to play with my new serger this week either.  It seems too many other people and things are taking up my time lately.  My husband deciding to quit his part-time retirement job hasn't helped any.  He's a big drain on my time and always needing something. I did purchase some thread for the new serger and I've cut out a pattern for a new turtleneck that I had purchased the fabric for two years ago.  I'm planning on sewing it with the new serger and trying out the coverstitch function for the hems.  That is why I bought it afterall.   I did find someone who wants my old serger.  She lives out of state, but her mother is local and she'll be picking it up for her.  I'm just waiting to learn when she plans to stop by...

 Hello everyone. I finished the baby quilt for the new grandmother in our association management office.  It's a very simple quilt and I made a burp cloth to go with it.  Here's a photo: I also pulled out blocks for a project I started last fall to put together when quilting all the quilt tops I have to do gets to be a bit much. I did set up my new serger and gave it a quick test run.  All I've done so far is make sure it's threaded and working so I haven't tried setting it up to do coverstitch yet.  I'm hoping to do that next week. Hello, everyone. It's been another very busy week.  I still haven't finished quilting the first of the five quilt tops, but I do nearly have the baby quilt done that I'm gifting. As I don't have too much new to share, I though I might show some of my older projects.  When my mother-in-law passed away last year, some of the things I'd made for her over the years no one wanted, so I brought them home. One of projects was a set of embroidered and quilted pillows for her living room.  The center floral motif is densely quilted to help the machine trapunto work puff up more.  The free-motion quilting I did on the border follows the pattern of the fabric I used. The embroidery was one that was on the embroidery module for my Bernina 170 QPE Millenial Edition.  I still have that machine, but only the embroidery unit works properly.  After it's last service, the stitch balance isn't right and nothing I've tried will correct it.   The two machines I use no...
